Where do the prices come from?
From providers' and registrars' official APIs and public price lists through OpenVibe.Sources, or from staff entries that name the page they came from. Every price shows the day it was checked and links its source.
Hosting, compared honestly
OpenVibe.Host compares hosting: plans from providers' official APIs and staff entries that name their source, priced per month, per vCPU and per GB, each dated and linked to its source; offers posted on LowEndSpirit's Offers board; domain prices per ending with a name check at the registry; and benchmarks people run with YABS on their own servers. Its console lists your own servers on Linode, DigitalOcean, Vultr and Hetzner Cloud in one place. The order comes only from the visitor's sort; affiliate links are marked. Static hosting is OpenVibe.Space.

6 questions this site answers about itself. Each one has its own page, so it can be linked and found on its own.

Yes. Domains shows what registrars charge for each ending for the first year, a renewal and a transfer, and five years added up. A name check asks the registry whether a name is taken.
No. The order comes only from the sort you pick. Affiliate links are marked and disclosed beside the link, and never change the order.

One list of your own servers on Linode, DigitalOcean, Vultr and Hetzner Cloud, at openvibe.host/console. Connect each account with its own API token: Host checks it with the provider, seals it and never shows it again. From the list you can power a server on or off or reboot it, and see when the catalog has the same size for less. Disconnecting deletes the token.
From people running YABS on their own servers with a one-time link from openvibe.host/catalog/benchmarks/new. A result keeps the CPU, memory and disk, Geekbench scores with their public link, fio disk speeds, iperf3 network speeds and the city and network. Never the server's address, and never who ran it on the public page.
